At the field test conducted at the Selection Sale in July 2008, while horses catalogued were identified by scanning microchip, stud book information such as pedigree was displayed on an exclusive terminal by connecting microchip number with our stud book server through

Asian Stud Book Conference (ASBC)
The 9th meeting of the Asian Stud Book Conference, for which Japan Race Horse Registry is serving as Secretariat and which chaired jointly by representative from India and Japan, was held on November 10 at Tokyo, at Hotel New Otani. The meeting was attended by the delegates from 18 countries/areas. Situation of breeding and horse racing were reported from each participating country/area and views on thoroughbred registration such as microchipping were exchanged.
Japan Race Horse Registry made a presentation entitled “Approach to Connect Microchip Number with Stud Book Information” as a method to utilize microchip number by applying
ubiquitous ID technology.
Next meeting is scheduled in March 2010 in Sydney, Australia.
Promotion to Vehicle Status
Our Representatives of Japan Race Horse Registry attended the
International Stud Book Committee (ISBC)
meeting held in United Kingdom on September 30 and October 1, 2008, as Asian representative along with Indian representative.
At the meeting, promotion to vehicle status of following non-thoroughbred broodmare put forward by Japan Race Horse Registry was agreed.

Asian Stud Book Conference (ASBC)
The 8th meeting of the Asian Stud Book Conference, for which Japan Race Horse Registry is serving as Secretariat and which chaired jointly by representative from India and Japan, was held on January 24 at Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The meeting was attended by the delegates from 17 countries/areas and three members of the Registry attended the meeting as joint-chairman, Secretary General and a delegate. Situation of breeding and horse racing were reported from each participating country/area and views on such as microchipping were exchanged.
Next meeting is scheduled in November 2008 in Japan.

"Find Horse" is added to the menu to search the horse from its name.
"Find Horse" is also available at Menu Bar.
When multiple horses are found, you can sort the list by designated criteria.
"Back to the previous page" is added.
Access ranking Top 5 is published every week.
We will continue our effort to improve our service and add new functions based on questionnaires etc.
When they are ready, we will introduce these improvements or functions, whose details will be announced at the News on Top Page.

To search Imported/Exported Horses you can specify year of birth.
You can see how many data are updated each day at the Top Page.
To achieve faster service, we lightened menu and reinforced server.
To serve better to increasing members, we reinforced the circuit.
Five Generation Pedigree function is added
Five Generation Pedigree function is added to Japanese Stud Book Database service.
When you look at the information of specific horse, you can click "Pedigree" appeared on right upside of the screen so that you can see five generation pedigree of the horse.
Asian Stud Book Conference
The 7th meeting of the Asian Stud Book Conference (ASBC) which Japan Race Horse Registry is serving as secretariat and India and Japan chair jointly was held on May 21 at Seoul, Korea、with the participation from twenty countries/areas. Situation of breeding and horse racing were reported from each participating country/area and views were exchanged. Three members of the Registry attended the meeting as joint-chairman, Secretary General and delegate.
Next meeting is scheduled in January 2007 in UAE.
Update of data for the foal crop of 2004 & 2005
The 2nd examination to re-check and confirm the markings at yearling year, commenced from April 5, had been completed.
7344 yearlings were examined during the period, while there received the application of 60 horses for registration for breeding. For the yearlings who were applied for foal registration for the first time as a yearling, registration will be completed when their parentage was validated by DNA typing.
Around 95% of Mare Return form for 2005 season were received (as of the end of June). The information will be updated when we receive new information. Please see Statistics for the latest information.

Japanese Stud Book Database on the internet provides you with various information on the horses registered with Japan Race Horse Registry (breeding record, import/export record, pedigree and more). The service is available 24 hours. You need to sign up for registration (free of charge in trial period) to access Japanese Stud Book Database. Please click "sign up" at the right top of this screen for registration.

It includes the 2001 breeding records of Broodmares. There contains 12,722 broodmares and total pages are 952. Price is 18,300 Japanese Yen. It is available at National Racing Public Relations Center. See
